Design and build

Mlais M52 is completely made from high quality plastic. The front side is completely in black while the edges and the back side can be in the possible colors which are white, blue and red. All collors are really beautiful and it is up to you which one you most like.

So you can see that the device has buttons with backlight. On the left side of phone there is volume button and on the right side is power on off button. Display

Mlais M52 Red Note has 5.5 inch IPS OGS HD screen, or if you don’t know what means HD. It means that the resolution of the screen is 1280×720 pixels – 720p. The screen is really beautiful because dispay is very sharp and natural. Working with the phone is quite easy because the screen is precise, it is enough just small touch. Overall without exaggeration the screen is excellent.

Performance and benchmark testing

Under the hood this dual-sim phone has really strong hardware. It is based on 64bit Mediatek MT6752 CPU. This CPU is octa-core with 4G LTE network support. In this combination it has also 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory. The GPU is ARM MALI-T760. If you need more space then you can use microSD card up to 64GB.
cpu-z
I tried to play several games like GTA San Andreas and Modern Combat 4 Zero Hour. Both games are highly demanding and freely I can say that all games worked like a charm without any problems. I tried several other applications and including them they worked perfectly normal. So it can see that this smartphone has really strong hardware. Which will further be proved by testing with Antutu Benchmark and Geekbench 3. Below you can see benchmark test results for Mlais M52.

Mlais M52 Red Note – Benchmarks test results

  • Antutu Benchmark v5.6: 43231
  • Geekbench 3: 810/4005

Software

It comes with pre-installed Android 4.4.4 system, the user interface is completely stock. It is not additionally customised and it is without any undesirable software. The system is fluid and fast and until now I did not find any problems. When I have for the first time connect it to my Wi-Fi network it the message just appeared for wireless update. So this is a good sign because we know that many other Chinese smart phones never gets any update.
android
In settings for example you have ability to choose what color you will have for notification light. You can edit settings for the led working time, notification led color, calls led color and messages led color. This phone also supports screen gestures so you can for example with double up make up the screen from standby mode in same way like on LG G2 it is working pretty good.

Connectivity and GPS

It has all standard features like any other smart phones these days, so it has Bluetooth 4.0, dual WIFI, support for the 3G and 4G LTE network. It supports all available frequencies including 900 MHz frequency for 3G network which is really good and very important for many European users. It has also normally GPS which works great with precision of 1m! When you for the first time start GPS then my recommendation is to use Wi-Fi or network just for preparing GPS. After that you don’t need neither Wi-Fi or network because GPS works out of box!

Camera

According to the company the front facing camera is 8 megapixel with 88 degrees wide angle. While the primary camera is 13 megapixel with true led flash. First I can say the led flash is extremely strong and in the blackest darkness you will be able to take photos. The photo quality of primary and front facing camera is very good and you will be satisfied with the quality. The video quality is also good same as for photos. It can record maximum in 1080p also known as Full HD or FHD. Below you can see photo examples.

Battery life

Mlais M52 Red Note comes with high-capacity battery which has capacity of 3200mAh. In my opinion this is really impressive and for now I think that capacity is real because for now shows very good results.

Conclusion

In my opinion if you want to buy a dual sim smart phone with strong hardware and with many useful features under $200 then Mlais M52 Red Note is best buy. Because it has gorgeous 5.5 HD screen, it has also for 64 bit CPU. There is also 2 GB of RAM and 4G LTE support. The price is really low around $150. Mlais M7 To Launch At The End Of April; MT6752 SoC, 3GB Of RAM And A Fingerprint Scanner In Tow

Mlais is one of the smaller smartphone manufacturers from Asia, but this company has a huge appetite for success. We’ve talked about this Hong Kong-based company quite recently actually, they’ve teased their M4 Note handset and then announced it a couple of days after that. The M4 Note is a mid-range handset which is now available for pre-order through GearBest, in case you’re interested. This handset features a 5.5-inch 720p display, 2GB of RAM and is powered by MediaTek’s MT6732 64-bit quad-core processor. 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of it, and the device resembles the Galaxy Note 4 a whole lot, and like Samsung’s phablet it also sports the chamfered metal trim around the device.
Well, according to some new information, this company intends to release new handset sporting 3GB of RAM at the end of April. The device will reportedly be called Mlais M7 and it will be aggresively priced it seems. The company didn’t reveal many details, but they did say that the handset will be powered by MediaTek’s MT6752 octa-core processor and that it will sport 3GB of RAM. 4G LTE will also be a part of the package, and the provided image actually hints at a fingerprint scanner, even though that part is blurred out. Much like the M4 Note, this handset will sport a metal trim as well, though it looks significantly different than the aforementioned phablet. We still don’t know how much will this thing cost, but you can expect it to be more expensive than the M4 Note, though not by much.
Mlais is putting more focus on the international market lately and thus offering their devices via resellers which ship internationally. Keep in mind that this company has only a couple of devices under their belt, though I’m sure we’re going to see quite a few additional ones by the end of this year. The Mlais M7 will have plenty of competition in the Chinese market, there are quite a few affordable handsets available over there. Meizu and Xiaomi are very well-known brands which are pushing really affordable devices, and companies like JiaYu and Elephone are also offering incredibly cheap devices nowadays, though they’re somewhat less popular.

Mlais’ Mid-Range M4 Note Handset Is Now Available For Pre-Order For $159.99

Mlais is one of many Asian smartphone manufacturers. This company is based in Hong Kong, though their warehouses are located in Shenzen, China. Mlais isn’t exactly the most popular smartphone OEM in China, this company has only released a couple of devices thus far, but are trying to make a name for themselves out in the market. This Hong Kong-based company has teased their upcoming handset quite recently, and have even released some specification information soon after and showed off the back side of the device itself.
Well, the company has now officially unveiled the device, and has announced that it’s available for pre-order. Let’s take a look at its full spec list, shall we. Mlais M4 Note features a 5.5-inch 720p (1280 x 720) IPS display (full lamination technology) along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage (expandable via microSD / T-Flash card up to 64GB. This handset is powered by MediaTek’s MT6732 64-bit quad-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz which ships with a Mali-T760 GPU. The 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this device, and is flanked by an LED flash. On the front side of the device, you’ll find an 8-megapixel 88-degree wide-angle snapper. 2,400mAh battery ships with this device, and we’re looking at a handset which offers dual-SIM (micro SIM + mini SIM), dual standby capability. Android 5.0 Lollipop comes pre-installed on this handset (along with some Mlais’ software features, like gestures for example) and you also get 4G LTE connectivity, FDD-LTE B1/3/7/20 (800/1800/2100/2600) bands. The Mlais M4 Note measures 156 x 80 x 8.4mm and it comes with Bluetooth 4.0 as well.
As far as the design of this handset goes, you get a stainless steel frame in combination with some plastic. This handset is incredibly similar to the Galaxy Note 4 as far as looks go, it’s impossible not to mention that. Capacitive button placement, general looks, shape, materials… though the specs and the software is completely different here. There are a ton of images in the gallery down below in case you’d like to take a closer look at the device. Mlais M4 Note is now available for pre-order from GearBest for $159.99, and this retailer will ship the handset your way for free. The M4 Note is available in Black and White color options.

Mlais Reveals Partial Specs And Looks Of Their Upcoming M4 Note Handset

Mlais has teased their upcoming handset a couple of days ago. The teaser image revealed a rather interesting look, metal trim included. The image itself didn’t reveal all that much considering we didn’t get to see the whole device, only its back bottom part. It’s time to change that, Mlais has released two additional images of this handset, showing the full back side of the device along with its specifications.
As we assumed, this handset does contain the “Note” brand in its name. The Mlais M4 Note is a mid-ranger which features a 5.5-inch display along with 2GB of RAM and comes with microSD slot, so that you can expand its internal storage which actually wasn’t mentioned by the company. MediaTek’s MT6732 64-bit quad-core processor is powering on this handset along with Mali T760 GPU. 13-megapixel camera is located on the back of this device, and an 8-megapixel snapper is available up front for your selfie and video call needs. Android 5.0 Lollipop is also mentioned in the image down below, though it’s not clear if it will be available out of the box or not, because there’s “OTA” (Over The Air) notification besides it. It seems like this thing will ship with Android 4.4 KitKat and receive Android 5.0 Lollipop afterwards, but we can’t confirm it at the moment. Mlais M4 Note also comes with 4G LTE connectivity (FDD LTE) and Fast Charge capabilities (2,400mAh battery). This handset also offers dual SIM connectivity.
There you have it, this is not exactly a full spec sheet, but the company did list quite a few specifications in the image provided below. The back side of this device looks almost identical to the Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 phablet, it’s hard not to mention that. Both the back cover, the metal trim with chamfered edges, camera shape and the LED flash sensor look really similar. There seems to be a sensor besides the LED flash as well, just like in the Galaxy Note 4, we still don’t know if this is a hear-rate sensor though. Anyhow, the company still didn’t official announce the device, but we’ll let you know when they do.
