En esta ocasión le realizamos un unboxing a un equipo bastante peculiar, el MLais MX, un celular de origen chino que se puede conseguir a través de la tienda en línea GearBest por un precio bastante accesible.

En cuanto a las especificaciones téxnicas, el modelo MX de la marca MLais cuenta con pantalla de 5 pulgadas HD, Android 5.1, procesador Quad Core MTK6735 de 64 bits y cámaras de 8 mp en su parte posterior y 5 mp en la parte frontal. Además, uno de los detalles que más destacan es su batería de 4,300 mAh, suficiente para, al menos, un día completo de uso sin tener que preocuparse por andar buscando un enchufe.

Mlais M9 Plus: testament to balance

One of the upcoming Chinese companies, Mlais, is an outstanding one from the crowd thanks to their stable, well-balanced and rather sexy smartphones. While the company most certainly compromises on some aspects, most of their phones are well-balanced and last long enough for the buyer to be content with their investment. The Mlais M9 Plus is one of their most recent releases, and it does stand as proof that the company can keep its gadgets affordable all the while maintaining a comfortable user experience.

The Mlais M9 Plus costs $90 if you buy it now on GearBest, which is a very good price to pay for what this phone has to offer. And this phone I would honestly recommend to anyone not liking what Google did with Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Mlais M9 Plus comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat on board, the favorite OS of Android users across the world. Although it’s a rather entry-level smartphone, and still finds itself in the top half when it comes to pricing, the Mlais M9 Plus has a few advantages that deserve recognition.

Its design is simple end reminiscent a bit of Sony Xperia handsets and their blocky, modern design. Although there still are capacitative buttons on the front, the Mlais M9 Plus looks and feels rather premium compared to competitors in its price range. This phone is a smaller, more standard footprint exhibit and will most likely suit those who find phablets uncomfortable. It comes with a 5-inch display that has a rather low 960*540 resolution, which while not the best around, does its job rather well.

Unfortunately, the lack of 4G LTE is one of the compromises that Mlais made with the M9 Plus, but 3G is still present so a stable data connection is pretty much a given. The Mlais M9 Plus comes with an MTK5482 CPU backed by 1 GB RAM and 8 GB internal storage, which is enough for those looking for a budget smartphone. Although you shouldn’t expect stellar performance, this entry-level smartphone will easily cater to the basic needs you may have. Requirements for smartphones have changed a lot, but we mustn’t forget that paying more for something you don’t need is not the smartest thing possible.

The Mlais M9 Plus adds a rather capable 8 MP camera on the rear complete with flash and autofocus and a 5 MP selfie camera on the front. The battery life should be excellent on this one, as there’s a 2100 mAh battery on board. The big removable battery and dual SIM card slots make the Mlais M9 Plus a pretty attractive option for those who want a stable smartphone. If there was a microSD card slot, things would have been much better though, as 8 GB internal storage is not going to be enough.

Nonetheless, those looking for the basic smartphone can look at the Mlais M9 Plus like a stylish and stable option which will last them more than 2 days with light use patterns. For its price, the handset comes with a pretty neat bang for buck that should be taken advantage of. It could also be a first time smartphone for teens thanks to its good camera, so there’s multiple options to consider. Any takers?

Test du smartphone Mlais M7

Alors que nous avions précédemment testé le modèle M52 Red Note du même constructeur, nous allons aujourd'hui nous intéresser à un nouveau modèle : le M7. Ce smartphone, qui propose un bel écran HD 5,5 pouces, a de quoi séduire. Faisons ensemble un petit d'horizon de l'appareil.

Les caractéristiques du Mlais M7

Outre son écran 5.5' HD IPS OG d'une résolution de HD 1280×720. Premier regret : l'écran n'est donc pas Full HD. Quant au CPU, on retrouve le même MTK6752 octo-core 64 bits cadencé à 1.7GHz qui équipait le M52 Red Note, lui aussi épaulé par un GPU Mali-T760. Enfin, l'appareil est équipé de 16Go de ROM et 3Go de RAM avec la possibilité d'ajout d'une micro-SD.

Côté soft, on retrouve un Android 5.0 lollipop parfaitement fluide et réactif. Le joli score obtenu sous AnTuTu est de 45122.

La batterie, d'une capacité de 2600mAh, permet de dépasser la journée dans des conditions normales d'utilisation. La caméra arrière (une SONY IMX135) possède une définition de 13 mégapixels. Sur la face avant, on trouve un capteur de 5 mégapixels. La connectivité est classique mais complète : WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS et FULL 4G LTE (compatible avec les fréquences française !).

Lecteur d'empreinte digitale intégré

La particularité du Mlais M7 est son lecteur d'empreinte digitale situé au dos de l'appareil. Ce lecteur biométrique permet, une fois configuré, de débloquer l'appareil d'une simple apposition de son doigt à l'arrière de l'appareil.


Si l'emplacement de ce lecteur peut surprendre au premier abord, il s'avère que sa position est bien pensée puisque, lors de la prise en main du smartphone, l'index vient naturellement prendre place sur le lecteur. Il est alors très simple de débloquer l'appareil lors de sa prise en main.

Disponible ici aux alentours des 170€, le Mlais est un appareil séduisant, puissant et offrant un rapport qualité/prix des plus intéressants.

5.5 inch 1.7GHz Octa core and a great camera for $179.99

Mlais is a company that brought a few extremely good phones for the price which we accidently discovered. It turns out that the company plans a successor to M7, simply called Mlais M7 Plus. 

The plus will be an improved and even cheaper version of Mlais M7 that we tested recently.

The company told us that the M7 plus has a better 64 bit Octa core MT6753 CPU and is clocked at 1.7 GHz. The predecessor had 1.5GHz processor. The M7 Plus is using an improved touch fingertip sensor. This sensor is better and offers more precession than the predecessor. The phone still has 3GB RAM.

The 13 megapixel camera has a Sony IMX214 sensor which is the same as the Moto G 2015 and the Nexus 6. This is popular sensor for many Huawei, Oppo, HTC, ZTE and One Plus One phones. It definitely beats the Sony IMX135 which was part of the Mlais M7. 

The M7 plus comes with 5.5 inch HD 720p display and 4G LTE. It will ship with Android 5.1 out of the box.  The battery has  grown from 2600 mAh to 2800 mAh. We hoped to see much bigger jump with the battery. The M7 Plus will get breathing light notifications.

We could not get any solid info about when the phone should hit the market but we could confirm that it will be available for $179.99.  This is the suggested etail price which is $10 less than the original Mlais M7.
